"Home" Experiment #5: Seed Dispersal
How do seeds travel or disperse? Watch the video for a fun idea for scientists of all ages to learn about seed dispersal. This is a great way to add some science inquiry into the walks you are already doing!
Below are some links for learning more about seed dispersal.

Discussion Questions
Preschool and Elementary: What types of seeds have you seen? What ways do these seeds travel? Are there any types of seeds you learned about that you don’t see? Why do you think that is? Where could you go to find other types of seeds?
Middle and High School: Based on the environmental conditions around your home, what types of seeds do you predict you will see? Did the seeds match your predictions? How might natural selection act to determine which types of seeds you see? Where might you go to find other types of seeds? What technological features can be borrowed from seed dispersal characteristics?
